Mac OSX Example

This example assumes that you have successfully installed the AirPort wireless card. Please note that some Apple devices come with the AirPort built in. Follow the steps provided to properly configure your Macintosh for Georgia Tech's LAWN.

Your AirPort card needs to be configured to obtain TCP/IP settings via DHCP. Open System Preferences from your dock. Select Network.

When the Network window opens, select the TCP/IP tab next to the Airport tab. The Configure IPv4 field will have a drop down field. Select Using DHCP. Click Apply Now.

Click on the AirPort icon on the menu bar at the top right of your screen and Select Other...

For Wireless Security, select WEP 40/128-bit hex.

Enter GTwireless in the Network Name field.

Enter the LAWN Encryption Key in the Password field.

Click OK.

Launch your web browser. You will now be redirected to the LAWN authentication page. Enter your GT Account username and password to begin using network resources.
